Rekordwochen auf Palma: erst die „Quantum of the Seas“, jetzt die „Allure of the Seas“. Palmas Hafen hatte im Mai das bis dahin größte Kreuzfahrtschiff festgemacht, jetzt am Pfingstmontag war dann das derzeit wirklich größte Kreuzfahrtschiff „Allure of the Seas“ zu Gast. Letztere misst 362 Meter, die „Quantum of the Seas“ nur 348 Meter. Trotzdem – beides unvorstellbar groß. Mit einer Höhe von 65 Metern über der Wasserlinie ist nicht nur ein Foto des Ozeandampfers wirklich beeindruckend!
Bis zu 7.400 Urlauber finden auf der „Allure of the Seas“ platz, 16 Decks und 21 (!) Schwimmbäder sind verfügbar. Es gibt einen künstlichen Strand, zwei Surfsimulatoren, einen Minigolf-Platz und einen Basketballplatz. Das war allerdings noch lange nicht alles. Das gigantische Schiff kann außerdem ein Kasino vorweisen, eine Disko, ein Theater im Wasser, ein 3D-Kino und noch vieles mehr. Die „Allure of the Seas“ – zu Deutsch „Verlockung der Meere“ – bietet eine 25 Meter lange Zipline Seilrutsche, eine 13 Meter hohe Kletterwand, 18 Restaurants, Boutiquen namhafter Designer, ein Starbucks sowie internationale Kneipen. Allein 2.385 Crewmitglieder sind auf dem Ozeandampfer tätig und untergebracht.
Nach ihrem Erstbesuch am Pfingstmontag soll die „Allure of the Seas“ jede Woche da sein und immer montags von Barcelona kommend gegen 8 Uhr festmachen. Um 16 Uhr geht es dann jeweils weiter nach Marseille. 22 Anläufe sind geplant, durch die es, Berechnungen zufolge, zu einem zusätzlichen Umsatz von 8 Millionen Euro für die Balearen-Hauptstadt kommen könnte.
Beginn der Reisen mit dem gigantischen Schiff ist immer sonntags in Barcelona. Anschließend geht es weiter nach Palma, Marseille, Florenz/Pisa, Rom, Neapel/Capri. Samstags ist Seetag und sonntags endet die Reise wieder in Barcelona.
