Sie ist klein, süß, mal rot, grün, violett oder braun und ihretwegen steht ein ganzes Dorf Kopf: die Feige. Lloret de Vistalegre lädt heute zur Fiesta de Es Sequer ein.
Von einst 57 Millionen exportierten Feigen spricht man heutzutage beim Feigenanbau auf Mallorca zwar nicht mehr – dennoch genießt die Frucht nach wie vor einen hohen Stellenwert in der landwirtschaftlichen Aktivität der Insel. Dies beweist auch die Ausrichtung des traditionellen Feigenfestes, welches jedes Jahr zu Beginn der Feigenernte auf der Insel stattfindet. Mit gerade einmal etwa 790 Einwohnern ist Lloret de Vistalegre als Veranstaltungsort ein recht kleiner, bescheidener Ort. Wie heißt es doch aber so schön? Klein aber oho! Das ganze Dorf beweist am Festtag zu Ehren der feinen Frucht, wie gut und gerne es feiern kann – und präsentiert voller Stolz eines seiner zahlreichen landwirtschaftlichen Erzeugnisse – und das sogar in zahlreichen Variationen.
Farb- und Formenwunder Feige
Die hervorragenden landschaftlichen Bedingungen der Umgebung von Lloret de Vistalegre bescheren dem Ort eine reichhaltige Feigenernte. Die Besucher werden aus dem Staunen über die Vielzahl der verschiedenen Feigensorten und diejenigen, die auf der Insel wachsen, nicht mehr herauskommen. Informativ und trotzdem feierlich gestaltet sich das Rahmenprogramm für den Festtag. Musik, ausgelassene Stimmung, eine traditionelle Feigenschau zur Präsentation der geernteten Früchte und auch ein Blick auf den Ernteprozess selbst – an der Fiesta de Es Sequer dreht sich alles um die kleine Frucht. Selbstverständlich gehört eine Verkostung des kleinen Stars ebenfalls dazu – und das auch in Form von unterschiedlichen Gerichten und Getränken, denn die Feige kann auf unterschiedliche Art und Weise zubereitet werden. Ob als Marmelade, Likör, mit Ziegenkäse, frisch, getrocknet oder zusammen mit Schweinefleisch – die Feige ist für Köche eine Frucht der unendlichen Möglichkeiten. Spätestens dann sollten die Besucher auf den süßlich-fruchtigen Geschmack kommen.
